Great must do event if you love haunted houses.  It is just spooky and with the fog they convert your amusement park into hauted night fun.  Several houses in one spot, no driving from house to house but expect huge lines for houses, but small ones for rides that are at their best at night.  Note that the crowd will thin out by midnight but crazy before the kids bedtime.  More info about Kings Island Haunt at http://www.visitkingsisland.com/

Oct 8-9 One of the best craft fall festivals in the US http://www.sauerkrautfestival.com/  I really enjoyed this show.  Great vendors, great food, but a huge crowd and parking is a challenge.  I would recommend just paying to park close to the event if you are planning to buy alot of goods.  If not the bus ride from Waynesville High School is good choice since you can sneak out the west side of Waynesville OH to avoid the traffic.

Oct 19-22 http://www.pumpkinshow.com/ Huge festival, mainly a food fest and carnival but not a art/craft festival.  Three stages of performers, food and drink of all kinds, and carnival rides for the kids. It was great to see the 1400 pound pumpkin and walk around.  However the traffic was crazy, we parked across the river on the west side of town and walked.  Traffic was lined up for miles on our exit.
